Danny O'Donoghue Admits He Is Open To Dating 'The Voice' Contestants

Danny O'Donoghue admits he is open to dating contestants The Voice UK coach Danny, who was romantically linked to contestant Bo Bruce during last year's series, has revealed he is not dating any of the musical hopefuls this time round.

The second series is currently being filmed and although none of the performers have caught star Danny's eye, there's no saying an on-screen romance couldn’t happen again. "I wouldn't rule out dating a fan or a contestant, no I wouldn't," he said.

Speaking about Bo's musical career The Script singer said, "Bo's single actually went live today, it's called Save Me, and the album's out in a month's time," he said, speaking at The Voice press launch. "We're directing the second single called Alive, which we co-wrote together." "It's an amazing song," he added.

There was no hiding Danny and Bo's on-camera chemistry and off-camera flirtation as the duo were spotted together on nights out in the first series, smoking and drinking in capital hotspots like Groucho Club.

Danny denied rumours they ever dated and says he spent time after the show trying to win back his ex-girlfriend of four years, Lithuanian-born model Irma Mali, but he remains single. He claimed his closeness to Bo was a publicity stunt."We decided to let the story run to keep her name in the papers so that she was still in the public sphere when she released a single," he admitted.

Bo is not the only singer Danny has collaborated with through the show. This year's series features a round of 'steals' where coaches can 'steal' each other's losing artists and take them on for their own team, instead of sending them home.

"We all stole off Jessie," said Sir Tom Jones, the most experienced coach of fellow judge Jessie J. "She let us know that." Danny and fellow coach will.i.am took advantage of their 'steals' and coaxed acts into the recording studio. "People that Jessie are kicking off, me and will are like, come on, let's go make a record," said Danny.

The two mentors also collaborated after filming The Voice to release a new song, Hall of Fame. "Danny wrote it way before the show but then we worked on it and made it fresh," said will. "He came to Los Angeles and stayed down the street from my old ghetto, met my brother, tried to get me to do some crazy stuff," said will. "Yeah but I couldn't stay in his house because I'm Irish," joked Danny. "I would have brought my whole family to stay."
