THE Script star Danny O'Donoghue is thrilled to be nominated for a Brit Award - but doesn't expect to win.
The Irish band are in the running for best International Group on February 20.
They will battle it out with The Killers, The Black Keys, Alabama Shakes and Fun at the London ceremony.
However, Danny, 32, thinks one of his rivals will walk away with the gong because The Script never do well at awards shows.
He added: "We are not the type of band that wins, we've never been. I know I can't win the category.
"I've said we've been going for four years without getting recognised but you know, it's never stopped us and it's never taken us down a peg."
But the frontman insisted he doesn't measure his group's success by industry recognition. Danny added: "We haven't won any awards and it doesn't bother us but being nominated and getting a pat on the back from the industry is great
