Its a British institution which, like Ant and Dec or
turnips, where would we be without it? Watching 4Music I suppose. Yes its the
now annual telly music event of the year as Top of the Pops Christmas returns
to our screens with some of the biggest hits of 2012.
In the studio performers lined up range from Robbie
Williams, Girls Aloud and X Factor winner James Arthur to
Wiley, Paloma Faith and Conor Maynard to name a few. Coldplay appear via a
specially made video for the programme – there is also a performance by Emeli
Sandé marking this years biggest-selling album while the all important
Christmas Number One – this year thankfully not from X Factor -
The Justice Collective with the The Hillsborough tribute single ‘He Ain’t
Heavy, He’s My Brother’.
As usual Reggie Yates and Fearne Cotton preside over the
musical treats from Television Centre.
There will also be an end of year outing
for the show on New Years Eve with many faces from the Christmas Day edition resurfacing
along with The Voice‘s Danny O’Donoghue while The
X Factor‘s Tulisa Contostavlos also performs.
