HAVING just played to a sold-out audience in Sydney on Monday night, The Script have announced their biggest tour of Australia to date. The Irish natives will return Down Under for a four-city tour of Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane in April 2013.
Band mates Danny O’Donoghue, Mark Sheehan and Glen Power revealed the plans during a visit to promote their new album #3, including current hit, Hall of Fame.
The trio had the crowd enthralled during the gig at The Metro Theatre earlier this week, with Sheehan thanking the crowd for making them feel so welcome.
"You know, this is the only place we've ever played to that actually feels like home" he told the Sydney audience to raucous cheers.
Yesterday O'Donoghue - who is a judge on The Voice UK - expressed his desire to fill the vacant seat on The Voice Australia panel, saying he was "the obvious replacement for Keith Urban".
"I’m in town for the album, but I’m totally open to offers" O'Donoghue told Fifi and Jules. "I haven’t been asked, I’ve just got off the plane."
In all fairness if I was able to, I’d love to. You know, we love Australia that’s why we’re down here.’
