THE SCRIPT's fame may lend to comparisons between them and U2 but their bank balances are incomparable.
Drummer Glen Power says the Breakeven trio are anything but wealthy and insisted reports of their riches greatly exaggerated - even though they're halfway through their fourth studio album. 'We made a little bit of money but not millions,' he told me. 'Everybody thinks we're millionaires. I read somewhere that Danny [lead singer] was worth (EURO)20million.
'If he is worth that, he can give me (EURO)2million. Because I don't have a million. When I come home from touring and I meet my old friends they are all telling me I am rolling in it. I can openly tell you I am not worth a million.
'I would like to have that cash and I am confident that if I keep going I will get there but the bonus is that I never did it for the money.
'If it ended tomorrow I'd still be playing music, be that with another band or on Grafton Street busking. I never did it for the money or the fame. If anything I tried to sidestep that end of the business.
