The Voice Will Air On Saturday & Sunday For Battle Rounds! Read All About It…..

Fans of The Voice, you have quite a weekend ahead, we promise you.

Last year we were glued to the show’s Battle Rounds, which sees the coaches pitting their teams against one another in duos, knowing that only one from each pair can go on to the next stage.

After six weeks of blind auditions, next weekend we move to the following stage and there is so much talent on display, that the series is moving into double episodes airing on both Saturday and Sunday nights.

Before the singers take to the ring, to go head to head with their teammates, they will first benefit from training and masterclasses with their coaches and their Battle Advisors – who included Paloma Faith and Cerys Matthews in 2012 – who will pass on their tips and techniques for the best vocal performances.

Next, Jessie J, will.i.am, Tom Jones and Danny O’Donoghue will split their artists into pairs and after they perform, the coach can only choose one for the knockout rounds.

But fear not, there will be a lifeline for those being sent home. This year, after the result of each battle round is revealed, the other coaches will have a decision on their hands and they will be permitted to ‘steal’ the losing act for their own team.

So, if a singer failed to choose them after their blind audition, this could be their chance to win them back.

The steal could end in another pitching war though as each coach can only steal one singer and if more than one star wants that contestant then the choice falls back into the wannabe’s hand and they have to pick who they most want to work with.

At the end of the battle, 7 acts from each team, 28 overall, will progress to the knockout rounds and be one step closer to the live shows in June.
