The Script are set to resume their European tour after bad weather interrupted the groups schedule.

The Script have put their European tour "back on track" after falling the victim to heavy snow which brought transport networks across the continent to a standstill. The Irish rockers were left stranded days before their tour was due to kick off.

The Brit award nominated musicians are set to start their tour in Hamburg, Germany on Monday 21st January, but they were left marooned in Dusseldorf on Friday (18Jan13) when flight out were cancelled., meanwhile their tour bus was stranded in the U.K.

Danny O'Donoghue tweeted the situation to fans and revealed he feared the snow chaos could spell bad news for the first show of the tour.

We got here and our trucks made it out too

He wrote, "Stranded in Dusseldorf!!!! Planes are all cancelled!!!!! Tour bus stranded in the UK!!! Aghh what else could go wrong Tour starts Monday".

However, he returned to Twitter on Saturday to declare they had arrived in Hamburg safely and assure fans the tour is back on.

He writes, "Reached hamburg alive... We got here and our trucks made it out too. Back on track".

Heavy snow has caused numerous flight cancellations across Europe this week (ends20Jan13) and other stars to suffer in the travel chaos include singer Katie Melua and former Culture Club star Boy George, who both had flights cancelled.

The Script were forced to evacuate their hotel during a promotional trip to Germany this week after a fire broke out in the building.

The Script are an Irish alternative rock band from Dublin formed in 2001.
