Danny 'WE DO KNOW WHO!'

So 2013 begins and we all eagerly await the start of The Voice with all the presenters and coaches we have grown to love. 

We know the format has changed a little with the coaches having bigger teams and we get to see more of our beloved swivel chairs.

Last year when the trailers started for the new talent show and the chairs turned everyone knew Will I.Am. Everyone knew the old crooner Sir Tom Jones and even Jessie J, as much for her quirky clothes as for her voice. Then the final chair turned around and Google went crazy as people searched for Danny O’Donoghue. Lead singer of pop rock band The Script, who arguably had a lower profile than his fellow judges, leading to jokes on Twitter branding him ‘Danny I Dunno Who’ and him being the butt of a joke by comedian James Corden at the Brit Awards earlier this year 

Here in Ireland we knew ‘The script’, we knew all the members but in England they did not. A lot of people knew ‘The Man who can’t be moved’ and ‘Breakeven.’ But they could not put a face to “The Voice” which was ironic considering the name of the show. 

The world then found out what we already knew the lead singer of the script was a tall, dark handsome Irishman with THE VOICE! As time went by everyone learnt about 'The Script' and also about Mark and Glen, and then it started, the band who had worked hard, been around the circuit for some time and written for some very famous people, were suddenly thrown into the limelight 'The Script' had arrived. It has been a roller coaster ride ever since then. Sold out gigs, millions of albums sold worldwide, TV appearances, the band now had a face and the name to that face was Danny O’Donoghue. The Voice UK 2013 brings us Holly Willoughby, Reggie Yates, Will.I.Am, Sir Tom Jones, Jessie J and Danny 'WE DO KNOW WHO', and so does everybody else now.
