The 'Hall Of Fame' stars mimic their famous lyric and talk playing Capital's Jingle Bell Ball.
The Script have mimicked their famous song lyric from 'Hall Of Fame' about "banging on your chest" like sci-fi character King Kong and discussed the line's popularity with fans.
The 'Man Who Can't Be Moved' trio spoke to Capital backstage at this year's Jingle Bell Ball 2012 ahead of their performance, and admitted the lyric, 'You can be the King Kong banging on your chest', originally came to them as a joke.
"When we were writing, it was more like, 'What's the most proudest thing you can do as a child'," singer Danny O'Donoghue revealed. "So you just think like Superman deflecting bullets or King Kong banging on his chest.
"Lyrics like that they just stick out in songs and I guess it's one of those things in people's heads."
The Irish band took to the stage at London's O2 Arena today (8th December) for day one of the Jingle Bell Ball to perform some of their biggest hits to date, including their will.i.am collaboration and Big Top 40 number one single 'Hall Of Fame'.
