The Voice UK coach Danny O’Donoghue has admitted he’s not sure how to improve the show.
Speaking about next year’s upcoming series, Danny insisted that the show had a place on UK telly, but confessed he didn’t have any ideas on ways to boost viewers for the live shows.
“I think we’ve all learned loads, I think we’ve learned there’s a huge amount of talent out there that remains untapped in Britain,” he said. “I think the voice has given new platforms to elevate your bands and your personality. I think that’s a really commendable thing to do.
“The Voice allows you to be the person you want to be.”
But Despite Danny’s praise, the show struggled in the ratings once it went live after the battle rounds.
“Everybody is calling for changes, I’m totally all ears,” Danny said. “The battle round was the most exciting moment for everybody, it’s a dragons den style thing, it’s very interesting and even being part of it was very entertaining.”
However The Script frontman conceded: “Then after that the live shows were like any other singing contest I guess that’s when he magic wore off… but I’m not really in TV to know what’s going to work and what’s not.”
BBC One boss Danny Cohen previously revealed that next year’s new series would see various changes, including “less live shows” and more focus on the “spinny chairs”.
