THE SCRIPT'S DANNY O’DONOGHUE DENIES SELLING OUT

THE Script’s Danny O’Donoghue has hit back at claims the band sold out for stardom.

The Voice coach and his bandmates are hoping to score their third consecutive No.1 album today with #3.

Some fans and purist rock bands accused The Script and Maroon 5 of swapping their rock sound for pop.

But Danny blasted: “People have accused us of selling out and being too pop. But what they call selling out, I call common sense.

“The radio is the porthole to the world for an artist. You can either play to 30 people in a wanky bar or learn how to write classic popsongs.

“It’s not rocket science. It doesn’t mean you have to lose your credibility as an artist.”

The Script’s single Hall Of Fame featuring will.i.am is also battling for today’s singles top spot so they must be doing something right.
