Danny insists he and The Voice contestant are not an item

Danny O'Donoghue is a big fan of Bo Bruce, the contestant he mentored on The Voice, but the pair are not in a relationship.

Fans of the talent show were sure something was going on when they saw Danny, 31, gripping Bo, 28, real name Lady Catherine Anna Brudenell-Bruce, by the hip during their Read All About It duet, but The Script star says it was simply BBC choreography.

'There's nothing...nothing going on,' Danny told Lisa Snowdown and Dave Berry on Capital Radio after Dave asked if he'd 'dipped his pen in the company ink'.

'No, no not at all. This story kind of came out of nowhere.

'We were on TV, we had this moment where we were face to face - part of the BBC choreography is that you listen to the choreographer and do what they're saying.

'It was one of those moments on TV where everybody went: "Oh saucy, there's something going on there". Not at all no.'

Even so, Grammy winner Will.i.am reckons Danny and Bo are 'kindred spirits'.
