Busy times
Mark said Danny is so busy with album #3 coming, The Voice, touring..
Danny says
he loves what he does. He is privileged. He enjoys every bit of it. He gets to
experience different sides of the industry. Recording, going on tour, doing The Voice. They recorded the album at night time. And no,
he didn’t get a lot of sleep.
Excited about new album and song
Mark asks if Danny is excited about the album?
Excited about new album and song
Mark asks if Danny is excited about the album?
Danny says, Yes he is very excited. It’s the energy of the new album, the
coming back together as a band. Danny says the new album is brilliant. Not that
we were ever apart..
Mark says
the first single is phenomenal and asks if they are still nervous when releasing
a new song?
Danny says
they are always nervous. They never take it for granted. He is proud of what
they got. They don’t want to let people down, who expect a great album. The Voice
has been a great way to expose and get face to the songs. The Voice is a great
entertainment show and it has been good for them.
Will.i.am
Will.i.am features on the new single, about the headlock, is that true?

Will.i.am features on the new single, about the headlock, is that true?
Danny says
it’s hard to nail Will down. Never tell an irish man something and be very careful.
So yes he took him in a headlock. Will said gimme 20 minutes, and put his vocal
in. Will was excited to do it and The Script were over the moon, they were massive fans of
Will.i.am.
About Hall of Fame
Danny says they are most known for The Man Who Can’t be Moved, Breakaven.. but this is going back to their original hip hop roots again.
Hall of Fame is played
Mark says he loves it that he can play loads of Script songs in one go now.
Album release
Mark asked when thealbum is out, Danny says 10 September, and the single 2 September, so shortly before, fingers crossed.
Touring
Mark asks when they will be back on road obviously he heard about the North America dates.
Danny says when the album comes out they will go live. They’ve got some amazing ideas. They have seen great bands like U2 and Coldplay and they have to get a little bit better. They will be touring end this year. Danny says the album could fall flat on its face and they’d then only be seen in bars..
Dublin and audience
Mark says he saw them in Dublin
Danny tells they shot a live DVD in the Aviva. It could hold 55 thousand people. He remembers when they first started there were only 26 people watching, mainly family. Now, 3 years later, new music, see how it grew from 26 people to 55 thousand people.
