The Voice 2013: Danny O’Donoghue Fights Dirty With Jessie J Over Lemuel Knights!

The Voice is going to get nasty tomorrow night, as the coaches battle over yet another bunch of talented singers.

Danny O’Donoghue and Jessie J are set to go head to head once more, and the Irish hunk will go as far as to criticise and run down his fellow stars and his own team members in a bid to convince singer Lemuel Knights to join his team.

The talented vocalist previously made it as far as X Factor bootcamp, before being dropped from the ITV show and he’s hoping that he won’t suffer the same fate on it’s BBC rival. Judging by the fervour Danny and Jessie put into their pitches in order to land him, we’d say he’s doing well so far.

We can reveal that all four coaches turn to offer Knights a place in their team but it’s Danny who is most desperate to work with him and he insists:

“I’ve been in the business 15, 16 years, The Script is just the tip of the iceberg.”

He added: “If you go into their teams, statistically you’d have a much worse chance of trying to get out of theirs than you would mine. I don’t have any singer like you on my team.”

Jessie isn’t amused by his comments (which we warn you go on for a while) and she insists that Danny is criticising the singers in his own team, just so he can win Knights over.

The Domino hitmaker gets pretty upset and tells her pal:

“That’s not nice to put the singers down that you have taken through, who can sing like that.”

The jibes provoke Jessie to bicker with him before Will.i.am steps in and says: ‘Mummy and Daddy is always fighting.'

However, much as they may battle on the show, Danny is actually very protective of his pal Jessie and has defended her on various occasions this year.

He takes offence at the ‘Laserlight’ singer being branded a diva and after calling her an ‘angel’ on Twitter he told Look magazine:

“Jessie J’s amazing. She’s just getting bigger and better and stronger. I love her, she’s so inspiring and to have a wonderful singer like that, someone who’s so so good around you all the time is great – you get really inspired by her.”

A collaboration between the pair isn’t off the cards either and he added:

“We’ve talked about working together, we talked about it on the first series. It just so happens that me and Will got into the studio together. But yeah, I can imagine her doing a song with Will, me doing a song with her, me and Tom doing a song… so you never know.”
