Danny O'Donoghue: "I Have A Mean Streak."

so far this season we have seen the judges battling against each other to try and persuade artists to join their team. Even using slightly underhand tactics and this weekend shows them locking horns again

Last week during the 'fight' for Lemual Knights, Danny invited him to sit in his chair and was telling him how nice it felt sitting there. He even sat beside him with his arm around him. Jessie took her turn, having already stated she wanted to pitch last for Lem and that she may get into trouble but she took him onstage for a duet of her song 'Do it like a dude.' There wasn't ever much of a doubt in the viewers mind who he would have choosen anyway as he was a big Jessie fan.

One thing the pair do agree on, however, is that they hate to hear their own songs during the auditions.
A source told The Dublin Weekender: "Tom Jones is the only coach who really enjoys hearing his songs being covered by the acts. The others find it difficult to listen to as it's very rare an act can get it right and do the song justice."

The show insider said: “Danny is really competitive and tries to up his tactics in his pitches to out rival Jessie and the other Coaches. Some of the comments he comes out with in retaliation show how determind he is to win the acts.”

Speaking about which coach takes things personally the most, Danny said: “I think we all take it personally in some way , but either me or Jessie always have to get even. It shows our mean streak.

“My team this year has great diversity. They are brilliant artists that will stand the test of time. And yeah I think I have the winner!”
