The final straw came when The Voice star fell off during a pre-recorded audition.
Bosses have rapped Will.i.am for persistently standing on his big spinning judge’s chair, citing “health and safety” concerns.
The final straw came when The Voice star fell off during a pre-recorded audition, although he was unhurt.
Will said: “One time when the chair turned around, I stood up on it.
“They pulled me aside and said, ‘just in case it falls or breaks’. But I was like, ‘isn’t this thing secure?’”
Confirming he had also been warned about it, fellow judge Danny O’Donoghue said: “They’re not for standing on. It’s health and safety.”
The new series – back on BBC1 this Saturday – will see more blind auditions, with live shows cut to just three plus a new knockout round.
Will.i.am also said viewers will see big rows between him and fellow judge Jessie J, adding: “She is a firecracker.” Host Reggie Yates confirmed: “Jessie is scary. I wouldn’t mess with her.
