The Script Enjoy Mini Rubix Cube Trick With Magician James Went At Jingle Bell Ball 2012

The Script stopped backstage at Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball to take part in a special magic trick with magician James Went.

The Irish stars were asked to pick a coloured side of a mini rubix cube with James put with the task of guessing the hidden colour.

Mark was first up and covered the rubix cube with his hand, Danny took over and then a secret pouch handed to Glen was used for the big finale.

The Script Wow London's O2 Arena During Performance At Jingle Bell Ball 2012

The 'Hall Of Fame' stars performed a hit-laden set during the appearance at the music extravaganza.

The Script brought the hits to London's O2 Arena today (8th December) as they performed at this year's Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball.

Danny, Mark And Glen had the crowd on their feet as their set got up and running with an impressive version of their smash hit 'For The First Time'.

Following the mass sing-a-long it was then the turn for frontman Danny O'Donoghue to show off his vocals and the emotionally intensity of his lyrics with the band's breakthrough single 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved'.

Speaking to the crowd, he said: "London, how you guys feeling tonight? Well since everyone is warmed up - i want to hear you all singing along to this next song," he screamed.

The trio all wore black ensembles with Drummer Glen showing off his arms in a cotton vest and Danny wearing a leather-look suit jacket complete with a beaded necklace.

"You have no idea how good my heart feels right now, thank you so much," said Danny after the group's second track admitting it's been a while since they've been on the big stage.

They then launched into the huge ballad 'Breakeven', before Mark thanked the crowd and Capital as he introduced their new single 'Six Degrees Of Separation' - taken from third album '#3'.

The Irish stars ended their set with their Vodafone Big Top 40 Will.i.am featuring single 'Hall Of Fame' as Danny dedicated it to "everyone in the room tonight".

The Script performed following sets by JLS and Little Mix with Lawson, Rizzle Kicks, Cheryl Cole, One Direction and Bruno Mars all still set to perform on day one of the event.

Urban star Charlie Brown hopes David Sneddon can land him dream duet

Urban star Charlie Brown hopes David Sneddon can land him dream duet

THE singer's first single is written by Fame Academy-winning David, who has also written for Lana Del Rey, and Charlie hopes the Scot can help organise a musical link-up with Lana.

Since Fame Academy, David turned his back on being a pop star and became part of production team The Nexus, who have written for Lana, Matt Cardle and Newton Faulkner.

Charlie, not to be confused with the famous Peanuts character, has had a roller-coaster ride to his debut single, having written with The Script’s frontman Danny O’Donoghue and been signed to Pop Idol creator Simon Fuller’s management team

The song compares a relationship to an addiction – in this case, his ex being addicted to her ex and ultimately choosing him over Charlie. But despite being a bit frantic when recording it, Charlie says he has no regrets.

He said: “Look what it has done for me now. It obviously worked well.”

It certainly has. Charlie, one of the up-and-coming stars of 2013, is set to release his debut album, Dreamstate, and has played Glasgow and Edinburgh this week supporting Dappy.

South Londoner Charlie first got noticed after a friend sent his demo to Choice FM. It was heard by an accountant from Fuller’s 19 Entertainment and he was then signed.

While with 19 management, Charlie travelled the world as a songwriter and in Canada met fellow fledging writers Danny O’Donoghue and Mark Sheehan, who would later form The Script.

Charlie said: “They asked if I would write with them. My first songwriting cut ever was with those guys. I learnt a lot from them in a short space of time.

“I will remember all the advice Danny gave me, and I’ve always respected and admired everything he has achieved.”

After Canada, Charlie flew to New York to write with RedOne, and the future Lady Gaga producer allowed him to sleep on his sofa for a week.

Charlie said: “I started out as a songwriter and had a few experiences with other writers like Danny O'Donoghue over the years where I got really close to releasing my own solo material, but it would never work out.

“It’s been a long road to get to this point and when I look back I think it’s all been necessary to help me appreciate everything that’s happening now.

“I have always been a person to think positively and, even going through the tough times, I knew this was my life career. I never wanted to give up hope.”

Split fits Script; DAN'S ALL HEART

THE Script frontman Danny O'Donoghue found heartache at just the right time when it came to penning latest single Six Degrees Of Separation.

Danny, 32, told me: "I split up with my long-term girlfriend and that happened to fall in the period where we were writing an album.

"I'm still single and I tend to fluctuate between being in a relationship, going out of one, being in a relationship, going out of one."

The Dublin lad admits that baring his soul in his lyrics is a cheap form of therapy. He explained: "You can always expect The Script to be writing about what's going on in our lives."

The band's profile skyrocketed earlier this year when Danny became a coach on The Voice but he says the show was by no means a guaranteed hit.

Danny revealed: "Actually it could have gone really wrong.

"The Script backed it and I still really believe in the show.

"I know the ratings kind of dropped off towards the end when people had become familiar with the format but I was excited by it.

"I'm still excited about going in to do the second series later this month. I feel that we needed it to work.

"It was an amazing vehicle and I'm blessed the BBC gave me the chance to do it."

The Script will be performing at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball tomorrow, alongside Bruno Mars, Cheryl, Lawson, Little Mix, One Direction, Rizzle Kicks and JLS.

Danny O'Donoghue excited for The Voice return

Danny O'Donoghue can't wait for the new series of 'The Voice' to return.

The Script frontman is reprising his role as a coach on the BBC One singing show and insists the second series will be a big improvement on the first one as a lot of changes have been made.

One decision is to increase the number of wannabes each coach can take through to the battle rounds, an idea Danny is very happy with.

He told the Daily Star newspaper: ''We're going to come out with bigger teams and the battle rounds will be spread over about two weeks, not one weekend.

''By the finals there'll be a condensed number so viewers can go, 'Oh, that's my favourite.' ''

The first series of the show was won by Sir Tom Jones' act Leanne Mitchell and Danny recently said she wasn't the best artist in the competition.

Asked if he was disappointed that Leanne's debut single 'Run To You' failed to make the UK top 40 singles chart, he said: ''She wasn't on my team so I can't feel that much disappointment. She won the show, you know, in the final she was technically the best singer. Was she technically the best artist? No. But that's just my opinion.

''She was definitely the best singer on the night, but it was unfortunate that other people didn't get a look in, ones that would have suited pop music better.''

As well as Danny and Tom returning to the show, original coaches will.i.am and Jessie J have also signed up for the second series.

Chris Moyles Spoof Charity Song

Chris Moyles second spoof album is called "The Difficult Second Album" features a spoof charity song which features several different articles including Danny O'Donoghue

Chris:
Sometimes in your life
It's good to lend a helping hand
To reach out to your brother
And your fellow man

Davina:
Just like the general public
Famous people see the suffering too
That's why there are so many
Charity songs

Pixie:
Raising money
And suffering people everywhere

Olly:
But what about us lot
Isn't it time for us to share

All:
(Chorus)
Please buy this song
It's not for charity
There's no disaster
No global severity

Gary:
We'll just split the profits and you'll see

Chris:
We're in it for ourselves

Ed:
To make a shit load of money, yeah
I just want you to buy this song

Danny:
Don't be disappointed
We're not as rich as you may think

Olly:
Coz illegal downloads
Are killing us

Gary:
We need designer sunglasses
And to drive expensive cars
Charity will have to wait
Coz this time it's all about us

Robbie:
You might be thinking
How can this lot sleep at night
We've all got lovely mattresses
So we sleep alright

All:
We sleep very well

All:
(Chorus)
Please buy this song
It's not for charity
There's no disaster
No global severity

Olly:
We'll just split the profits and you'll see

Chris:
We're in it for ourselves

Ed:
To make a shit load of money

Pixie:
Heated swimming pools
Cost more than you might think (Chris: I think)
I'm pleading with you people
Coz you're the missing link (Chris: link)

Gary:
By buying this song
And spending your cash
You could alleviate this pain
Now we really would like to buy our villa in Spain

Chris:
Or Portugal

All:
(Chorus)
Please buy this song
It's not for charity
There's no disaster
No global severity

Pixie:
We'll just split the profits and you'll see

Chris:
We're in it for ourselves

Ed:
To make a shit load of money

All:
(Chorus)
Please buy this song
It's not for charity
There's no disaster
No global severity

Gary:
We'll just split the profits and you'll see

Chris:
We're in it for ourselves

Ed:
To make a shit load of money

Chris:
We'll pocket all the profits

Ed:
And we're gonna be fucking loaded
