WHEN Danny O’Donoghue first became a judge on The Voice, he was renamed Danny O’Dono-who? by people who didn’t know The Script were already headlining arenas.
But there’s no doubt their third album, out on September 10, will make those jokers eat their words.
One big surprise is that Danny is a mean rapper – check his moving rhymes about his father’s death on If You Could See Me Now.
An even bigger shock is will.i.am’s rapping on anthemic first single Hall Of Fame. Turns out the Black Eyed Pea can do subtle. Yes, really.
It’s a corker of a tune that sets the standard for the album.
Whether it’s sweary break-up song Six Degrees Of Separation or catchy party-rocker Good Ol’ Days, it all goes to show that three really is a magic number for my favourite trio.
