Voice' coach Danny O'Donoghue: 'I'd be foolish not to play X Factor'

Danny O'Donoghue has admitted that he'd be "foolish" not to accept an invitation to promote his music on The X Factor.

The Script frontman - who serves as a coach on BBC One rival show The Voice UK - confessed that he would probably take the opportunity to perform on the ITV prime time programme.

"If I was invited onto the show to sing, it's a music show at the end of the day," O'Donoghue told Digital Spy.

"Would I be judging on the show? Probably not. But would I go on the show to promote a song? I'd be foolish not to. There's millions of people watching - same as with any show.

"And by the way, this is for every band out there, if you get to go in a show, go on the show. Don't be too cool for school because it doesn't matter. Millions of people watch all of these shows and it's a really good platform."

O'Donoghue also confirmed that he has stayed in contact with his Voice UK team and intends to help them with their respective careers.

The Script's new album #3 is available to buy now.
