Hall Of Fame, which features will.i.am, was written to inspire a new generation of musicians.
Danny told me: “I hate the idea of getting famous just for being famous. People say: ‘How can you say that when you did The Voice?’, but I did the show to represent bands.
“Our message is, don’t be famous for fame’s sake. Be a teacher, a politician, whatever, but get on your soapbox and say something – don’t expect to get it on a plate.”
The powerful anthem, out Monday, was also penned to inspire 35-year-old guitarist Mark Sheehan’s wife Rina for a 4K charity race she ran for Cancer Research.
Danny, 31, explained: “Some of the older women Rina ran with were busting their a*ses off to finish. It was so heartwarming. I was thinking about the Olympic spirit too.”

The Irish trio’s next album #3 drops on September 10 and is their strongest yet.
Danny added: “My lyrics come from deep-rooted issues. I’m sure there’s some computer program that could be written to analyse it because I get all the dark stuff out in The Script.”
